Pro-Tip on Color:
Light colors (like white or light gray) are best for reflecting sunlight and keeping the hive cool during hot summers. In very cold climates, some beekeepers choose darker colors to help the hive absorb heat from the sun.
Beginner’s Tip:
A standard hive usually starts with one or two of these Deep Boxes at the bottom. As your colony grows, you will add smaller "Medium Supers" on top for honey collection. If you are just starting out, don't forget you'll also need a Bottom Board and a Telescoping Cover to complete your bees' new home!
