10 Things You Didn't Know About Bee Friends Farm

From hive to jar, we are your neighborhood beekeepers and we want to introduce ourselves! Read on to discover a few facts about Bee Friends Farm. 

 

 

 

 

1. Every single bottle of honey that leaves the Honey House is filled and labeled by hand! 
   
2. We have over 30 retail partners in North Florida. Find a list of local spots to find Bee Friends Farm honey near you!
   
   
3.  We keep and maintain our own hives! We are at about 500 right now and our goal before the end of 2019 is 600.                                                        
   
   
4. We send our bees 2,500 miles across the country to California to pollinate the almond groves! 
   
   
5. The Leach family started building bee boxes in 2009, then in 2013 we expanded into honey production! 
   
   
6. Our beekeeper, Michael Leach, mentors backyard beekeepers during the Jacksonville Beekeepers Association monthly sessions. 
           
   
   
7.  Our name, Bee Friends Farm is our fav acronym, BFF. (So like, really, let's be friends.)
   
   
8.  You can find our honey on the menu of many local establishments.         
   
   
9. We host the annual Honey Bee Festival which is a community based educational event.
